Advanced InVision Studio for VoiceXML Development

Audience

This course is intended for application programmers responsible for developing and maintaining VoiceXML applications using InVision Studio.

Description

This three-day course promotes advanced concepts utilizing variables, accessing backend data through a web service or database, GRXML grammar creation, single- and multi-item collection, dynamic grammars, list processing and chaining applications.

Prerequisites

Completion of the InVision Studio for VoiceXML Development Course.

Objectives

  • Expanded discussion of variables and data space (scope), as well as functions in ECMAScript.
  • Utilize JavaScript functions for business hours processing.
  • Access backend data from a web service and database.
  • Utilize event and conditional logging.
  • Expanded discussion of .grxml format grammars.
  • Implement multiple-item collection with the Speech Multi form.
  • Code list processing using speech forms.
  • Create a dynamic grammar for use within a speech form.
  • Add application chaining to an application.
  • Discuss best practices and code optimization.
  • Utilize the Compare and Merge functions with InVision Studio projects.
