EVIP Application Builder

Audience
This course is intended for experienced PC programmers responsible for creating and/or supporting a speech or voice application using the EVIP platform.

Description

This five-day course is intended for programmers responsible for implementing voice and speech applications using Application Builder.  This class provides an introduction to the EVIP software platform including Application Builder, Workforce Administrator, and EVIP Application Server, and promotes fundamental programming skills while developing an application within Application Builder.  This course is taught on the Windows 2000 operating system.

Prerequisites

  • Experience with PC operating systems.
  • Familiarity with IVR Systems.
  • Familiarity with Graphical User Interfaces.
  • One year programming in a computer language such as C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, or COBOL.

Objectives

 

  • Describe the components of the EVIP software platform and how you can employ these to provide business solutions.
  • Develop Application Objects using Application Builder and the applicable Phone, Database, FAX, terminal and web training steps.
  • Apply the concepts of subroutines and callable application objects to maximize efficiency of application development and resource utilization.
  • Apply advanced error handling techniques for robust application design.
  • Describe the EVIP software platform architecture and runtime scheduling tools.
  • Use the Configuration Editor to create and manage resources and resource groups.
  • Describe how the EVIP software platform uses terminal emulation to retrieve data from various host systems.
  • Dynamically present lists of data on a web page.
  • Test applications in both development and runtime environments.
