Troubleshooting InterSoft Systems
Audience
This course is intended for personnel who provide post-production maintenance on the Intervoice IQTalk platform.
Description
This three day course expands on the information covered in the IQTalk System Administration and InterSoft Installation and Configuration courses. Troubleshooting opportunities will include both hardware and software problems. The lab at the end of the course consists of a variety of problems inserted by the instructor, and the students will be given the opportunity to work on their own to identify or correct the problems.
Prerequisites
- Meet the prerequisites for the InterSoft Installation and Configuration course.
- Attend the InterSoft Installation and Configuration course.
Objectives

Describe how the IVR connects to external devices and data sources.

Determine characteristics of the IVR by examining files on the system.

Review using HHTest and BoardTest to pinpoint telephony or hardware problems.

Capture and examine the following logs: trace, system and event logs.

Identify different types of call transfers. Identify different types of host and database interfaces.

Review host and database testing procedures.

Recognize the configuration files necessary for the Multiport Fax environment.

Determine potential solutions to the following situations:
- Ring, No Answer
- Loader Will Not Reload after Reboot
- Call Transfer Issues
- Data Unavailable
- Fax Issues
- Determine the information that RealCare will need to fix a problem and then gather that information.
