Media Server 3.x Administration with Control Center

Audience

This course is intended for personnel who monitor and manage Intervoice systems using an Intervoice Media Server 3.x platform. Application programmers, resellers and project leaders will also benefit from the course.

Description

This four-day course provides an introduction to the Intervoice system. An environmental overview will be presented. Control Center will be used to perform most administrative and operational tasks. The Control Center Alert and Deploy features will also be discussed.

Prerequisites

  • Experience with PC operating systems.
  • Basic Windows 2003, 2000 or XP navigation skills.

Objectives

  • Identify the key components of an Intervoice VoiceXML environment.
  • Modify and change applications on the Media Server.
  • Identify the main log files.
  • Use Control Center to manage and monitor Media Servers.
  • Identify the key components of the Media Telephony Core architecture.
  • Identify hardware platforms and telephony boards.
  • Use Intervoice utilities to verify Media Server functionality.
  • Use Control Center to modify the configuration files on the Media Server.
  • Verify application, speech recognition and text-to-speech server functionality.
  • Understand document, script and audio caching.
  • Use Control Center to display Media Server alarms.
  • Use Control Center to transfer files to Media Servers.
  • Identify system backup procedures.
  • Explain the actions taken by RealCare after a customer reports a problem.
