Fortune Top 150 Health Care Provider Renews Contract with Convergys for Relationship Management Solutions

(Cincinnati; September 24, 2008) - - - Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, announced today that a leading health care provider, a Fortune Top 150 company, has renewed and expanded its existing contract for Convergys’ industry-leading relationship management solutions for another 30 months.  Convergys will continue and expand the world-class customer service it currently provides to the client’s extensive network of health care professionals.

Convergys estimates the value of the contract to be about $54 million.

This client first contracted with Convergys in 2005 to answer calls from health care providers needing to verify patient benefits and eligibility or discuss claim payments.  The client awarded the work to Convergys based on Convergys’ proven ability to drive improved customer satisfaction through its expertise in relationship management, while simultaneously reducing the costs of administering customer service.

When this customer service program expanded significantly in scope, the client awarded Convergys the contract expansion and extension rather than placing the work in its own contact centers.  This was a true vote of confidence in Convergys since the client made this decision based on Convergys’ extensive track record of providing high quality, cost-effective service to the client’s callers.
